Greetings from Monticello, Arkansas

Yes, we made it safe and sound. Let me say for the record that it is hot. I feel for the people that live in the south full time. I'm especially amazed at people who do not have a/c. I'm not sure if anyone down here is without but it can't be pleasant at all.

Surprisingly there was not all that much traffic on the way down here. We left at 4:15 pm EST and arrived about 5:45 am EST 900 miles later. I am not a fan of driving all night but I took the advice of my dad and did it anyway. NEVER AGAIN. You see, when you drive all night while your children sleep you find yourself at a major disadvantage the following day. It's so not fun. We will be stopping for the night on the way home... even though I hate to pay for a hotel room. Oh well, my sanity is much more important and safer for my children.

Today we all attended the Monticello Baptist Temple with my Grandmother and family. There were 15 of us in attendance. It was a very good service that really made you think. It was wonderful to be able to sit there with my grandmother. I haven't been to Church with her since I was a little girl and let's be honest, I'm far from it today.

Well, I should get going. My DH is bathing the boys and would probably appreciate my help. Forgive any spelling errors, my brain is fried and spell check is considered a pop-up on my Aunt's computer. God bless and Happy 4th of July:-)
