Yes, I'm still here or should I say I'm baaaack!

Wow it's been a while. We have been home from Arkansas for almost a week but it's been so busy. We drove 3000 miles in the last 2 weeks and I am wore out. I'd like to share some of my trip with you all, or should I say ya'll?

This is a picture of the M&M car... it's a Nascar driven by Elliot Sadler. I don't actually follow Nascar but I LOVE M&Ms :) It was parked at a Holiday Inn in Monticello. I doubt the driver was there but it was cool to "find" the car.

On the road back from Arkansas to Michigan we drive over a massive and quite frightening bridge when we go from Missouri to Illinois. The boys thought it was pretty exciting... they only asked about it for 200 miles before we got there. This is the beginning of the bridge.

The actual state line is right in the middle of the bridge and this picture shows it.

While traveling on Interstate 57 through Illinois at Effingham there is a huge Cross on the side of the road. I have seen it for several trips and I always wondered about it. The sight is breathtaking at night and still awesome during the day. I was able to take a couple of pics and found some info on the net.

A closer, not so clear view.

I will post more tomorrow, see you then!

Stopped by to say hello to another West Michigan knitter. Sounds like you're having a great summer. Enjoy and try to stay cool.

I go by this cross all the time on my way from Michigan to St, Louis. What did you find out about it I have always been curious.
